Please Twitter For Peace

Normally I don’t push too many causes but this is one that’s free, simple and one that anybody reading this article can do as long as you’ve signed up to the social networking site Twitter. Its called Twitter for Peace and it gives you an opportunity to show your support towards the people who have been impacted on by the atrocities of war. I’ve already voiced my message of support via my new Twitter account (I now have my own name after they cancelled an inactive one) and I urge all of you to do the same.

All you have to do is send a tweet with the tag #peace, and if you can’t think of anything creative to say, then you can use this generic message. This initiative was created by a Swiss website developer and planner at Pool Interactive Jim Carlberg. I actually have never heard about Jim before he began this little project but I sent him a message of thanks for starting this because it shows that the freeform nature of services like Twitter allow for many creative and productive initiatives like this to occur.
